We are seeking Part-Time In-House Counsellors to support our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services. This role combines the delivery of clinical counselling with first-response support for inbound assistance calls.
Counsellors will work approximately 20 hours per week (around 80 hours per month). Responsibilities include EAP intake, participation in a duty roster covering days, evenings, nights, and weekends (pre-scheduled or rotating), as well as conducting counselling sessions. The exact distribution of time between responsibilities will be mutually agreed.
In this role, you will conduct initial assessments, provide short-term solution-focused counselling, and develop tailored support plans for beneficiaries. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support individuals facing personal or professional challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver short-term counselling to EAP beneficiaries
Conduct needs assessments and provide solution-focused support
Respond to inbound assistance calls and offer immediate guidance
Provide brief telephonic counselling and emotional support when appropriate
Develop support plans and refer beneficiaries to specialized services when needed
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in the internal case management system
Qualifications
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field
Experience in mental health counselling, social services, or similar environments
Experience in crisis or short-term counselling is an advantage
Telephone or online counselling experience is a plus
Language Requirements
Professional working proficiency in Norwegian or Danish
Professional working proficiency in English
Position Details
