Job Description

We’re looking for a meticulous and personable Senior Retoucher with a strong understanding of fashion and advertising aesthetics. You’ll deliver exceptional imagery for global clients, combining technical expertise with creative sensitivity. Working collaboratively across teams, you’ll also lead post-production on key campaigns in a fast-paced environment focused on visual excellence.

Key Responsibilities 

Creative Retouching and Technical Execution 

  • Lead high-end retouching across fashion, advertising, beauty, and editorial projects..  

  • Apply advanced colour grading, clean-up, compositing, and image extension techniques with consistency and precision. 

  • Ensure that all retouching meets the creative brief, technical specifications, and the highest quality standards. 

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current trends in visual retouching, fashion photography, and post-production. 

 

Project and Workflow Management 

  • Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and client expectations are met. 
  • Plan and prioritise workload effectively, identifying and mitigating potential delivery risks early. 
  • Collaborate with producers, other retouchers as well as other members of the wider team to maintain efficient workflows and strong communication across projects. 
  • Ensure all files are properly backed up, version-controlled, and archived to company standards. 

 

Client Liaison and Collaboration 

  • Work closely with clients and creative leads to understand and translate their vision into final imagery. 
  • Present work confidently and professionally, responding to feedback constructively and efficiently. 
  • Act as a senior point of contact, ensuring a smooth post-production process from capture to delivery. 
  • Support the Studio in mentoring junior team members as well as freelancers, fostering a positive, collaborative studio culture. 

 

 

 

Essential Skills and Requirements 

  • Minimum five years of high-end retouching experience within fashion, beauty, or advertising post-production. 
  • Exceptional Photoshop skills and other key industry tools, with proven expertise in advanced retouching, colour work, and complex compositions. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a strong eye for tone, texture and light. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with a calm and solutions-focused approach. 
  • Confident working in client-facing environments, with experience presenting work and managing feedback from clients, creatives, and production teams. 
  • Highly organised with excellent time management, able to deliver under tight deadlines. 
  • A proactive spirit and desire for continuous learning within a fast-moving, creative environment. 
  • Passion for image making and fashion.
